Special Education Symposium
Parents BCNWH Joint Services enocurages parents to join About Special Kids, INSOURCE, and The Arc of Indiana on September 15th from 10:00 - 3:00 for an informational day focused on parents of K-12 students with special needs. Cost: $20 per person - includes lunch for participants. This is being held at Oak Trace Elementary in Westfield, Indiana.

The Boone-Clinton-North West Hendricks Joint Services is a special education cooperative serving six school districts: Clinton Central School Corporation, Clinton Prairie School Corporation, Lebanon Community School Corporation, North West Hendricks Schools, Rossville Consolidated School District, and Western Boone County Community School Corporation. The six districts serve students ages 3 through 21. Joint Services provides psychological evaluations, consultation services, and administrative services related to special education in the six districts. Through the collaboration between Joint Services and the six member districts, services are provided to children with diverse educational needs including the following disabling conditions as outlined in the pdf Indiana Special Education Rules, Article 7 :
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Blind or low vision
- Cognitive disabilities
- Deaf or hard of hearing
- Developmental delays
- Emotional disabilities
- Language or speech impairment
- Multiple disabilities
- Orthopedic impairments
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Specific learning disabilities
- Other health impairments
